Toi Derricotte + Cornelius Eady Chapbook Prize Series

Cave Canem has collaborated with O, Miami to spotlight exceptional chapbook-length manuscripts by Black poets, regardless of the poet’s publication history or career status. The prize winner receives a $1,000 award, publication of their manuscript by O, Miami, a residency in The Writer’s Room at The Betsy Hotel - South Beach, and a featured reading at the O, Miami Poetry Festival in April.

With seriality in mind, our design framework maintains consistent typography from chapbook to chapbook. In addition, the production value carries across the series; each cover sheet is printed as a two-color silkscreen and then trimmed and saddle-stitched to the interior text pages.
